Seismic poisonous liquor in Assam, 7 deaths so far
At least seven people, including a woman, were killed after drinking allegedly poisonous liquor in the Golaghat district of Assam. The police said today that this incident took place in Borpathar area of Dhansiri sub-division of Golaghat district. Police said that seven people have died in 48 hours in the past due to drinking poisonous alcohol.
A police officer said, “Some other people have also become ill. However, we have not got accurate information because this area is distant. He said that two people have been arrested for storing illegal liquor in large quantities. Investigation of this matter is ongoing.
It is to be mentioned that in the case of poisonous liquor in Kanpur village of Uttar Pradesh, the total number of deaths reached 13. On which Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the donation of two lakh rupees to the families of each deceased.
